New Year

2011 was a roller coaster ride. So many ups and downs, so many unexpected twists and turns. Towards the end, I felt dizzy, a lost and a bit disoriented. But, I'm thankful for everything that happened and I'm thankful that it's over. :)

2012 on the other hand has my stomach in knots. Positive knots. Like something exciting is about to happen. Something that makes me want to burst into a million colored jelly beans. You know that feeling, right? :P 

I'm not sure of what's coming, but I know it will be a super great year. I'm turning 29 in a few days and I guess it's also reason enough for me to go all out and end the 20s with a bang! :) 

I spent the turn of the year with my family, in my mom's province in Antique.  My sister Monique and I decided to go out and snap a few photos. Later on we realized it was the last sunset of 2011. :)

Marshall Mondays: And Where Have you Been?!!

Marshall is growing up. Like a true growing boy, he sometimes goes off by himself to explore. Sometimes to the beach, other times underneath the floors of the Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast. And when this happens, he comes back to us either wet or covered in cobwebs. On this particular morning, he came back wet AND covered in cobwebs. Oh Marshall, Marshall. Where have you been off to?

"What are you talking about? I've was here the whole time!"

"You really don't have to look too closely..."

"Ok, fine.  I may have stepped out for a bit."  

"Now can I go to the beach again?"

Of Pirates, Photos and Pregnancies

A few days ago, I hopped on the famous Red Pirates Paraw with a group of pregnant women, went to Puka beach and took their photos. 

It was by far the most unexpectedly delightful shoot I've had. 

 These 4 women are part of the baby boom happening on the island. It's both interesting and strange seeing 4 friends pregnant at the same time. Sometimes I still can't believe it. One thing's for sure though, when together they make a helluva scene.  And that's why I wanted to take their photos. 

I've never seen pregnant women so radiant and stunning. Then again, these ladies are dragon boat paddlers, yogis, divers and all around active, beach babes. I shoudn't have bought the whole "I'm shy, I don't know how to pose" tale because as soon as I brought out the camera, they owned it. :)

Marshall Mondays: Happy Birthday, Buddy!

Last Thursday, Marshall turned 1!

His day started and ended on the beach. His dad and I took turns taking him out to play
and enjoy the company of his doggy friends. He also got a lot of greeting from his human friends. In short, Marshall received a lot of love that day and he continues to. :)

Afterwards he was happy... and pooped.

No one could believe that this huge dog was only 1 year old. :)

As a special treat for his friends, Marshall is letting you watch a short video of him playing on the water!

Marshall Mondays: Inspector Marshall

A few weeks ago I moved into my new place, a cozy little hut under a mango tree. Marshall has been visiting but it was only a few days ago that he started spending his nights with me. Before he did, he gave my place a full inspection. Sniffing every corner of the house, under the hut, up the stairs, into the room... I just followed him around as he did.

Aww, it's my favorite visitor!

It was a rainy day today and Marshall and I are ready for another cozy, quiet night.

Marshall Mondays: Marshall and the Beach

The 2 things I missed most while I was away.
So what a happy day it was when I was able to spend my Saturday afternoon with Marshall in quiet Puka Beach.

You won't believe how big Marshall has grown. I can't! He's a little over 30 kilos now and will be turning 1 year late this month. He still behaves like a puppy,
but when I ask him to sit still for a photo, he's patient with me. :)

"Can I play now?"

"How about now?"

"Pretty please, mommy?!!"

Wonderword: Move

Move in, move out, move on - these are the ways we transition through life's many stages. It's never really easy. It may be tough to let go, it may be scary to face the unknown but if you don't keep turning the page, you may find yourself stuck in one chapter longer than you want to be.

I've given myself time to grieve, time to look inside myself and figure out the billions of thoughts floating around like mad in my head. I've allowed my family and friends to offer comfort and give love. I've opened myself to sadness, fear, sentimentality and hurt. And now I'm done.

Dwelling in the past does nothing. Focusing on the words said and the bad vibes caused, does nothing. I know that if I want something to happen, I have to start moving. And that's what I've been doing since I got back on the island. It's all about moving; to a new home, on the mat, on with work, accepting invitations, going along with friends etc. I'm glad the island I was afraid and hesitant to come back to welcomed me back with open arms and has made the transition easy, even convenient. I'm grateful to be welcomed back by real friends who have known me a long time and know better than to listen to silly stories and twisted tales. And I am overwhelmed by my family and other friends. They are my bottomless source of support, strength and cheer. Together they've made it easier for me to keep going.

If you don't like where you are, if things don't feel right. I say get off your ass and start moving, turn those immobilizing thoughts off and let the heart lead.

Cheers to a new month, a new adventure, a new chapter! :)

Marshall sure is finding ways to keep him on my mind, not just through my friend's post, but through every dog I see here in India. There are a lot of stray dogs and they share the streets with cows. It's quite amusing. But posts about India are to come. I just wanted to share the photo Yuyu made with you. Because she missed Marshall Mondays, she gave me a reason to create one. Thanks Yuyu!

Incredible India

On Thursday, I leave for a 10 day trip to India. I cannot begin to describe how excited I am, how much I'm looking forward to this and how much I NEED this escape.

Focusing my thoughts and energy on this trip has kept me from sinking into anger and sadness. I will not allow anything to ruin this trip, not even the expected torrential downpour. (Oh yes, I've packed an umbrella!) Above is a video of India's latest marketing campaign. I think that it's genius of them to use a tourist's point of view and not the overused montage of sights and traditional costumes. I love the way the guy seems to be clumsy, but has a great time anyway. It does show how fun and spontaneous India can be or is. I want to be him, but not on this trip. Instead, I'll be accompanying my aunt on a touristy trip, visiting the palaces and monuments of Old and New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Still, not so bad noh? Hell no. I'm going to meet India. :)

Rain or shine, I'm going to have an epic time. Being my longest trip outside the country I had to pack a lot of stuff (clothes, toiletries, laptop, camera, medicines, umbrella, books, sketchpad, drawing materials, first aid kit, etc.)! I bet my luggage will be heavier on the way back. :P One thing's for sure though, I will be carrying a lot, but I'm definitely leaving all the bad vibes behind!

Marshall Mondays: Missing the Marshmallow

It's now been a month since I last saw Marshall. You might be tired of hearing how much I miss him. Hehe. Lately though, I've been haunted by another thought: What if Marshall doesn't remember me anymore? He's a sweet dog and he will approach anyone with affection, but what I've been worrying about is what if he doesn't greet me, recognize me or get excited about me like the way he used to? Ouch. :(

Good thing I googled it and found out that people can be gone for months, even years and their dog would still know who they are and love them the same way. Freakin' best news I've heard in days! Phew! :)

So once again, excuse me as I reminisce "Marshall and me" moments and send love and good vibes to my baby back in the island.

Sometimes I just need a break from my computer. So now I'm practicing sketching again. Still looking for that style that I would be happy with. So I'll be sharing my experiments with you. :)

This is Josh. I copied his face from his own wedding invite. I really liked the illustration style and I wanted to see if I could do it too.

then I found out that my inspiration was the work of Tuesday Mourning.
So I practiced sketching one of her other guys.

Marshall Mondays: Muddy Buddy

WARNING: What you are about to see is far from the cute and cuddly Marshall that you know. Prepare to be shocked, grossed out - and then go "awww!" again.

I'm still away in the city. Meanwhile, back in the island, Marshall took off for an afternoon without anyone noticing.

Coming back, everyone saw and smelled the sewage sludge all over his face and body. According to sources he chased them around for a while, proud to show off where he's been playing. I could just imagine the panic and laughter that went on.

And so here he is... the un-cutest Marshall I have ever seen!

Here in the city, I've seen dogs in shoes or in strollers. I am proud to say that my dog is a REAL dog. Even if it means he's sometimes a dirty, muddy, smelly (but otherwise happy) dog. :)

Marshall Mondays: Marshall in Coron

Last week, I went with some family and friends to the beautiful island of Coron in Palawan,

and I took Marshall with me. I took him to Kayangan Lake...

everywhere I went, I took him, everywhere I looked, he was there.
I heard that happens when you love someone.

Surprise! If you haven't noticed by now, I just photoshoped Marshall into my Coron vacation photos!  No really, they're fake, take a closer look!

Obviously, I miss Marshall already and... I'm not crazy. Why the hell would you think that? Have you ever had an awesome pet that you had to leave at home while you took a vacation doing the things you knew he would have loved?!! Didn't think so. So yeah, I'm not going crazy - maybe just a little. But I heard that happens when you love someone.

Marshall Mondays: Marshall and Manong

Whiskey is Marshall's neighbor and the first dog that Marshall has ever met on the island. 4 years his senior, Whiskey automatically became Marshall's "manong" (older brother). Manong is the official lazy Dog of The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast. He's sweet, obedient and loves to entertain people with his carefully accurate and skillful ball catching tricks. A few days ago he thought Marshall to do the same. :) Thank you Manong.

Girl on White Beach

Months ago, I made a series of illustrations of people enjoying the pure, white sand of our island. I intended to lay them out into postcards but somehow got caught up with the "money-making" projects. I just checked on them again and they're all still there, waiting to see if they'll ever see the light of day.

It's been rainy on the island, and it puts me in a nostalgic mood. So I once again searched my archives of Marshall photos and found a handful of them that haven't made it to Marshall Mondays. Some because they're a "one of" and never fit any theme that I've posted, others are merely extra shots from my trigger-happy moments. So come and take a look at some "old" Marshall shots. :)

I Like Your People

As an illustrator, I believe it is so important to have a distinct style. Apart from color schemes, textures and lines, I think style comes out the most in the way one draws people. And this, is one thing I haven't accomplished...yet, and thus is one of my ultimate frustrations.

Even if I have been doodling and drawing caricatures all my life, I find that my characters change, I can never decide if I want them small and round or tall and lanky, with or without noses/cheeks/detailed hands...etc. *Sigh* I bet I sound weird to you, especially to those who don't draw. But such are the concerns of a mildly obsessive illustrator like me. :)

Friends advice me to keep sketching and eventually the characters will develop, my sisters disagree with me and say I actually do have a certain style. I guess I'm just still not satisfied. They say an artist or illustrator's characters are a reflection of themselves (yes, kind of narcissistic), so I guess I should just take a closer look at myself and um... be happy with it. :)

Meanwhile, let's take a look at the characters of some of my favorite illustrators. The simplicity and personality of their people inspire me so much. I hope one day, I can create people as interesting as theirs.

Marshall Mondays: Marshall Goes to Work

Ever since the boy has been busy with work, we would let Marshall accompany him to his office so that our growing puppy can get some exercise on the way there and on the way back. In between, Marshall basically does what he does when he's at home, look cute and sleep. Yesterday, I decided to document the walk to work.

Down our street

and leads the way confidently.

Finally, it's the office street.

But the trip wouldn't be complete without Marshall
sneaking off to where he shouldn't. :)

After a quick rinse in the office shower, he's now refreshed
and ready for a hard day's work!

Marshall Mondays: Puppy Swim

Last Saturday, Marshall got to swim to his heart's desire. It was a perfect beach day so we headed to our favorite unspoiled beach. I was so proud that he can swim to the really far and deep parts and look so graceful too.

Marshall Mondays: Bed Day

Once in a while the boy and I have what we call a "bed day." Basically, it means we spend one whole, lazy day in bed. We order in, dine in bed and lie with the laptops, TV remote and anything we could potentially need within reach. Doesn't it sound sooo fun? :)

Yesterday was one of those days. Cool, post-rain-weather, Sunday, plus it was my first weekend with the 2 boys since I got back. The afternoon light in the bedroom was so nice that I decided to bring out the camera and take shots of the Marshall cuddling that happened.

Marshall Mondays: And He Keeps Growing

A few days ago, Nick sent me a text saying that Marshall has learned to pee like a proper adult dog (with one leg up), I was so proud! Then the realization hit me: he's growing up! *sniff* I'm in the city and have been away from him for 11 days now. I miss him so much and it's making me all the more sentimental. So pardon me while I reminisce the times when Marshall was just a tiny furball that I could carry.

Most of the photos were just from last December and January, it's unbelievable.

Wonderword: Emptiness

Here is a fact. A clarification if you will, to those who think that life in a paradise island is perfect. It is not. Love isn't painless, work isn't easier and life isn't a bowl of cherries just because you live on a beach.

In the past few days I have been reminded that happiness doesn't come from a pristine beach or a scenic hillside or the energetic city. It doesn't come from anywhere else but within. How does that happen? It happens when you are filled with love. And how do you fill yourself with love? By ridding yourself of all the thoughts and memories, of the negative things that love cannot exist with.

I am learning to empty myself. Clean my thoughts. Bring myself back to a space where there are no memories, no pain, no hard-feelings, no expectations. Just a pure and clear space that love can fill. This is part of a Hawaiian teaching that involves reciting phrases of love, repentance and gratitude. It's called Ho'oponopono. If you haven't heard of it, try "google-ing" it. :) It is a simple and effective process but it isn't easy to do. In fact the hardest part for me is the cleaning, the emptying.

How can I, when I am little ms. rational. When problems arise, I am always ready with reason, judgement and a witty retort. I've got a background of education and experience I am proud of, and use to support me. So now, when something upsets or affects me, am I supposed to just empty myself of all those to experience pure love and happiness?

The answer is yes.

No reasoning, no proven studies, no preconceived ideas, no negativity. Empty.
So here's to that essential step, that beautiful and elusive state called emptiness. I hope I learn to get there soon.

A few weeks ago, my friends Rin and Angelo visited us, or should I say visited Marshall. :) They had a lot of fun with him (as you can tell by the photos) and Marshall had a lot of fun with them too. On Marshall's first day at home, he was immediately introduced to my computer's Photobooth. I didn't have a camera then and the only way to introduce him to the world was through my computer's built-in camera.

Eversince then, whenever Marshall felt like snuggling up to me while I'm working (he's sweet like that. :-D), I would turn on my Photobooth and take a few shots. Now that I have a little collection, I think it's time to post some. :-D

The 5th Boracay International Dragon Boat Festival

Boom ti ya! The awesome Bugsay Boracay Team

This morning I woke up thinking that the race is tomorrow. Boy did I feel the knots in my stomach. Then I realized that it's only wednesday (the race is on friday) and feeling just a little relieved, headed to our team's last practice.

After almost 2 months of training, coach says we're ready. Being my first competition as a paddler, I really can't tell. But I believe our team is strong and I'll choose to agree, with passion. :) Coach also said that having the medals is up to us, but for him, we already won. Figuratively AND literally, I'm claiming those golds. :D Team Bugsay, the gold medals are ours!!!

So wish us luck, pray for us or cheer us on. We'll need all the good vibes to propel us forward and beat everyone to the finish line, not to mention beat those darn knots out of our system.

Team Bugsay, let's win this thing! Kaboom!

Once in a while, Marshall would ring the little bell hanging on our door, to tell us that he wants to step out and play in the garden. And when we let him out, he does things that can serve as little everyday reminders for dogs and humans alike.

Marshall Mondays: The Vet Visit

Last Saturday, Marshall and I went to visit the vet. No worries, it was only for his monthly Frontline (anti-flea) and heartworm prevention medication. It's not his first vet visit, but it's the first time I attempted to document it. Just another day in the life of this awesome, awesome dog.

And that was it! Verdict is, at 5 months, he is now 20 kilos (you read that right) and is a healthy and beautiful puppy! Isn't that nice to know? :)

Wonderword: Breathe

Breathe. We need this to live yet sometimes we forget to do it. It happens to me too, for both good and not so good reasons. But it is a pretty appropriate word for the weeks that passed and the week to come. My days have been made up of my breath. From Running out of it during dragonboat practice to learning to share it in CPR training. Then lately, I found myself asking for space to breathe. Which should be a good thing. In yoga, we learn that proper breathing removes toxins, rejuvenates the skin, stimulates proper circulation, improves the nervous system and strengthens the heart.

Next week, I together with my island girl friends will "take a breather" and swim with the whale sharks in Donsol. I am excited, it has been my dream to see these beautiful, gentle and giant creatures. I am also hoping that the time away will get us all charged and cheered up and be enough to clear the stale air of incessant issues and bad vibes. I will breathe, to strengthen my heart. :)

Marshall Mondays: Summer Guests

This morning, Marshall said goodbye and see you soon to 3 guests he had this week: my sisters Thea and Monique and a new family member Alex, who came all the way from Manila to see him and enjoy the beach (of course).

I think Marshall and I agree that having a fuller house was real nice, plus a bigger audience than usual made him one happy, smothered puppy. :)

The accompanied walks, sunrise stroll, the songs, the hugs, the pats, Marshall will miss them all. See you guys soon. :)

Oh and Marshall wants to send a bark out to Carlo and Roxie who he heard looks forward to Marshall Mondays every week. Hello! And thank you! (and yes, this post is kind of late again. Marshall and I like waking up late on Mondays :P)

6 am. Walking home with Dane after an out-of-this-world Moon Landing party at Jungle Bar. A bit dazed, I managed to take some shots in the dawn light. In case you don't know her, Dane is a celebrity in the blogosphere and is very used to having her photo taken, drunk or not. Naturally the photos turned out well. :D

After we took these shots, she told me it reminded her of this video by Fever Ray. Awesome,awesome! I got so inspired that I took lines from the song and posted them *points upward* up there.

Ok super moon, you got us into enough trouble. 'Till the next 18 years.

Marshall Mondays: Big Dog Lurking

A few days ago, a friend of ours told me that he was supposed to visit me and Marshall at home. But he didn't enter because he saw a bigger dog in the yard. Little did he know that THAT bigger dog was Marshall.

All week people have been telling us how fast he's growing. And as much as we want to slow it down, it is happening before our eyes; bigger paws, deeper bark, losing baby teeth... *sniff*

Somewhere in the near future is a bigger, stronger dog that will take this puppy's place...

...but he will always be our baby. :)

The fact that most girls idolize fashion models all the time wouldn't be so bad if the models they  look up to were more like Summer Rayne Oakes. Known as the world's first "Eco-Model", Summer has devoted her time to representing environmentally-conscious brands and causes.

A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Entomology (yes, the study of insects and bugs), she has worked on programs in aquatic systems, mine reclamation, waste management and sustainable development before applying her knowledge to the fashion industry. Which just kind of happened because she's gorgeous too. ;-)

Aside from being a spokesperson for the environment, Summer runs a Sustainability Innovation Consulting firm as well as an online marketplace for sustainable textile and other materials called Source4Style. In an industry where being green has become a trend, Summer stands out as the real green thing.

CTWW Challenge Two - Check!

That's my answer to last wednesday's challenge. Living in a 7km stretch of island, getting around by walking is very doable and is my number one mode of transportation. To walk is free and it is such a pleasant experience when you live in a lovely island. But sometimes, I get lazy or am in such a hurry that I take a motorbike or tricycle. This week though, I got through my errands simply by walking to and from the laundry shop, photo store, grocery, beach etc. So even if I usually walk, this week, I walked more.

To choose to walk simply takes a little common sense. Stay on the safe side of the road, look before you cross, take an umbrella if the sky is gloomy, wear comfortable shoes (or in my case, flip flops) and leave earlier because it will take you longer. My favorite: take some music with you. It always makes walking more enjoyable, it kinda makes me imagine myself in my own music video. I even have a playlist on my Ipod called: "Smiling While Walking" with songs like A Beautiful Morning by the Rascals or 5 Years Time by Noah and the Whale. Choose your own strolling music! :) Just remember: NOT TO LOUD. Make sure you can still hear if a car horn is beeping closely.

Since we're on the topic, I want to share this AWESOME AWESOME ( it's so awesome, I had to say it twice, or thrice) artwork done by pedestrians in China to encourage more people to walk for nature. Must see! :D

Marshall Mondays: Marshall and the Gang

Marshall is a super friendly puppy who will approach any dog/cat/bird/chicken. But his closest friends are fellow beach dogs in the neigborhood. Meet some of them. :)

Whiskey - the first island dog to meet Marshall, and living just next door, is also Marshall's most frequent visitor. Also a Golden Retriever at 4 and a half years old, we refer to him as Manong (older brother). He makes it easy to imagine what Marshall will look like in a few years.

Spice - this 7 month old chocolate lab is Marshall's wrestle buddy. We take Marshall to him to burn off all his puppy energy. They do a god job at exhausting each other after an hour of friendly chasing and biting.

Champ - is one of the fastest, and highest-jumping dogs I've ever seen on the island. Marshall can't keep up with him yet, but he tries. Oh he tries.

Sueño - at 11 years old, is the oldest dog Marshall has ever met. This dog has traveled around the world, so I guess a puppy like Marshall doesn't excite hime anymore. Marshall likes taunting him anyway and follows him around like a little child tailing a grumpy old man.

Then of course, there are the strays on the beach.

And they all love to run!

CCTW Challenge One - Check!

Using toilet paper isn't big in the Philippines. People here usually use a pail of water and a manual bidet or water dipper called a Tabo (tah-boh) to wash. Fortunately though, the house we are currently renting comes with a bidet spray, which is even more convenient. And this is how I have been reducing my use of toilet paper. Which answers the last Change the World Wednesday Challenge! :D Yey!

To those of you who are iffy about using a bidet, (and I know there are a lot of you) you may want to read this. To learn more about bidets and to check where I got my toilet paper facts, you may click here.

Living on the beach also requires us to bring water with us all the time. And one of the ways I have reduced disposing of plastic water bottles is to bring my own bottle with me everywhere I go. I am especially concerned with plastic water bottles ever since we watched this video. Please feel free to share it too to create more awareness.

That's it! I'm sure there are a lot of alternatives for our usual disposables. With a little creativity we can come up with so many things. And for some, a step out of our comfort zone, could mean a step to Changing the World.

One day, I googled images for "change the world" ( i don't remember why, this happens a lot) and came across a photo that eventually led to this blog. I thought "hey! what an awesome blog!" and almost immediately committed myself to joining the challenge that is Change the World Wednesday.

What it is exactly is a weekly "green" challenge, like refusing plastic bags for the week or having an oven-free or stove-free day. The simple idea is, little actions (when done by many) will create a big impact. And everyone is welcome to join! The challenges are easy! Especially for someone like me who has chosen to not eat meat and refuse plastic bags a long time ago.

The blog is full of great ideas for people who want to be more gentle to the earth, and aren't afraid of a few good deeds. ;-D So go ahead and check it out!

Shel Silverstein being my ultimate idol, I am constantly looking for new artists who prefer the same execution. And I am so happy I found Isol. :)

Her line drawings, so simple and sincere combined with spots of choice colors and a minimalist composition create whimsical, charming and striking images.

I am so inspired by her work that I am going to try and make an Isol-influenced illustration. And maybe if it looks good enough, I'll post it too. ;)

I am loving how different the island feels now,

Bolabog, the beach opposite the famous White Beach is packed with kites,
dancing with amihan like a flock of butterflies.

and the way it plays with everything it touches.

Watsu 101

The past 10 days have been really eventful for me. I've been training for Watsu. For those who aren't familiar with it, it's a very special, intimate, powerful and profound treatment done in the water. Learning it hasn't been easy. It has been a mental, physical and emotional roller coaster, but in the end, I am so grateful to have been called to it.

Now I feel like I've gone to wizard school and have learned a powerful magic spell.

I suddenly find myself equipped with a new way of reaching out, connecting, loving, and supporting people. I am so excited to pay it forward for my teachers. Thank you universe, thank you Karen and Tom.

Let the good vibes flow. :)

Moving With The Cheese

Less than 3 months after posting photos of Roxy (the house that Cee and I rent), I write this post to announce that I am once again moving.

The sudden turn of events in the past couple of months have left me (1) without a housemate and consequently, (2) without a place to sustain by myself. But instead of throwing a tantrum for the sudden change of plans (which I really felt like doing), I waited for what the universe had to offer.

I am immediately reminded of the cute little book "Who Moved My Cheese" which taught me how to deal with sudden changes. After a year in Roxy, Cee and I are (not surprisingly) attached to it in a lot of ways. The chill vibe, the memories, the late night "chickahans"... but as they say in the book: "The quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you can enjoy new cheese."

And my new cheese? Moving with my boyfriend to my dream house on the island. Remember that dream place post last August? :) Yup that one.

So thank you universe. Your ways are kind of wacko sometimes, but still, thank you. I'm happy.

Speaking of happy, you know who's not? My boyfriend's playmates, these three dogs that visit us everyday in his old place. Here's a shot of them sulking as they watched us pack his stuff into boxes. It's heartbreaking, I know.

From Din-iwid beach to Bulabog Beach. From where the sun sets to where the sun rises. How this new cheese will taste, we'll soon find out. In any case, I say a bottle of wine will go well with it. :) Cheers!

Today

we discovered

a private beach.

It was pretty awesome.

Then we watched the strange sunset.

Happy hour. Mmm... :-)

Oh and that's a cloud that looks like a dog.

This concludes my August Break Collection. I'm very happy with the photos and the fact that I was able to commit to it. Snaps for me and for everyone who has done the same! Our blogs are now full of beautiful moments of the past 31 days. May this inspire us to seize the coming ones, with or without a camera. :-D

♥ makes you do silly things.

For the love of photography, I have stressed myself a little everyday over taking and uploading August Break photos; and in doing so, also documented (quite diligently) how cheesy I can be. But, whatever. This has been one of the best months ever and I'm glad that I can remember it better. Thank you to Susannah Conway and her August Break idea! One more day to go, yet I already miss it. What will we do now? :S
