So I realized that I haven't touched my blog in a very, very long time.
I was too busy...work...blah blah. I don't even want to expound.
Let's just get back to my normal, happy sharing. And what better way to make a comeback than to write about the very same subject I started this blog with:
a Boracay trip!
The universe sure does effing wonders. Almost exactly a year since our (me and Ezra) last Boracay trip, it suddenly presented us with a timely opportunity to go back. Just when we were getting too stressed to function, we found out that our friends, Nuts and KB were gonna be part of the Cinemanila event on the island and that we could tag along.
Pinag-iisipan pa ba yun?
So with less than a week and absolutely no time to diet, we filed our leaves and flew to the very fitting resort called Fat Jimmy's.
To make the long story short (because I don't want to bore anyone yet), it was one hell of a long weekend. Hanging out with Nuts, KB, plus new friends Anima and La was the best!

Highlights were the dancing on stools and bar tables, early morning swims, making European friends, watching Temptaion Island on the beach, seeing old Boracay buddies, and of course spacing out on that lovely, familiar, powdery sand.
Funny how I failed to escape this trip without another kind of casualty (last January my phone, wallet and camera got stolen). This time, Ezra and I purposely disregarded the use of sunblock for the first couple of days. We thought that since it was cloudy most of the time, it would be ok. We were wrong of course! Like what I told him, spending too much time in the city sure made us stupid bohemians.
By the third day I looked like a tomato. A tomato writhing in pain. I didn't let it bother me too much though. Besides, as they say...alcohol numbs the pain. Haha!
So now I'm home. I've got a freaking map on my face, I'm shedding dead skin cells everywhere and I've got cigarette burns on my arms from mindlessly dancing in crowded bars full of smokers.
Does it bother me? Nah.
I may look like some flakey freak right now, but then how many people can say that they spent the long stormy weekend partying and sunbathing in Boracay?

Hi Rich!
Yes, it's actually a nice place, especially if you have a tight budget. Some people just get turned off by the fact that it' sbehind the palengke. But if that doesn't bother you, then it shouldn't be a problem. :-D
